Why We Started Logistica OS

Logistics teams are drowning in paper, manual reconciliation, and processes that have not evolved in decades. We built Logistica OS to end that cycle and bring real automation to the front lines of supply chain operations.

Who We Are

We’ve lived logistics. The beauty and the beast of it. Back when “LogTech” wasn’t cool yet… actually, it wasn’t even a word.

We learned the ropes at DHL. We saw how the giants run and realized they’re all just cooking with water. Then we went out and built one ourselves: Fliit, a digital freight forwarder in food logistics. We ran operations from the front line, dealing with hundreds of carriers and clients, endless spreadsheets, paper chaos, and “just one more call.”

We’ve seen it all, the broken processes, the daily firefighting, the people holding supply chains together with grit and duct tape. And through all that, we built a bond. Six of the eight first members of Logistica already worked together back then. Add 15+ years of tech experience, startup grid and early work with AI back when few even touched it and you get a killer team.

Despite the mess, we still love this world. The smell of diesel and paperwork. The 5 a.m. calls when a truck doesn’t show. The thrill when everything finally clicks.

Across all these experiences, one theme kept showing up: Logistics teams are still trapped in manual, paper-heavy workflows. Operators juggle handwritten delivery slips, emails, spreadsheets, and phone calls. Core processes are still held together by manual reconciliation, institutional knowledge and a lot of hustle.

We built Logistica OS to fix exactly that. One agent at a time.

Why This Time Is Different

Let’s be honest. LogTech had its waves…and most of them crashed.

Wave one: Digital freight forwarders (we were part of it). The dream was big, the margins weren’t. Integration into old systems? A nightmare. Most players shut down or are still fighting for air.

Wave two: Vertical SaaS. Niche tools, solid value, but limited scale. You can’t change the industry by solving just one little piece of the puzzle.

So why should it work now?

Because AI finally gets logistics. Not the “OCR and RPA” kind of AI that breaks when the invoice font changes. But flexible, agentic AI that actually understands unstructured data, messy workflows, and real-world operations. It can read the handwriting on a coffee-stained slip, connect the dots across systems, and act.

That’s the revolution. And we at Logistica OS are all in, betting our life’s work on it.

Let’s Go

Logistics is still 60% manual. Europe alone has over 1.5 million open roles in admin that no one wants to fill. And companies burn hundreds of billions every year on inefficiencies, incidents and endless reconciliation. The world doesn’t need another pretty dashboard. It needs automation that works in the trenches. Where operations happen.

That’s why we’re building Logistica OS: an operating system for logistics teams, where intelligent agents handle the repetitive stuff, so humans can focus on the moments that matter: exceptions, relationships, and keeping supply chains alive.

We’re in this for the long run. Because logistics deserves better. And we still love it.

Stay tuned next week we’ll share more about what we are doing and what’s coming next. (Or reach out if you can’t wait)
